Claude Harmon

Claude Harmon was the head professional at Winged Foot GC and Seminole GC when he won The 1948 Masters Tournament.

 

He was a semi-finalist three times in the PGA Championship (1945, 1948, and 1953). Claude Harmon also finished in third place at the 1959 U.S. Open, which was held at his home course at Winged Foot GC.

 

As the head professional at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York, he had three assistant professionals, Jack Burke, Dave Marr, Dick Mayer who went on to major tournaments (PGA, Masters, US Open). He was the head professional at Thunderbird Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California, where he served for over two decades.

Bill Harmon

Bill Harmon, like his three brothers, has had a very successful golf career. At the young at of seventeen Harmon became the club champion at Winged Foot GC. As a junior golfer he also won the NYS Junior Championship, Metropolitan Junior Championship, and Westchester County Junior Championship.

 

He went on to caddie for Jay Haas from 1978-1988 on the PGA Tour. Where they tallied up 6 victories in total. He also caddied for Jay in two Ryder Cups and one Presidents Cup and also caddied for Bill Haas in a Presidents Cup. Bill also caddied for the likes of Ben Crenshaw, Lanny Wadkins, and Curtis Strange.

 

Bill is currently a Golf Digest Top 50 Instructor, Golf Magazine Top 100 instructor. During Bill's career, he has coached his players to 35+ victories on the Champions, PGA, and LPGA tours.

Bill was a frequent contributor to shows on the Golf Channel.

​

Bill is currently the Director of Instruction at Toscana CC located in Indian Wells, CA.

​

Craig Harmon

Craig Harmon had a forty two-year tenure as the head professional at Oak Hill Country Club. Harmon was the host pro for eight major events at Oak Hill, starting with the 1980 PGA and ending with the 2013 PGA.​

 

Nationally, he earned the two highest honors that can be bestowed in his profession: He was named the 2004 PGA of America Golf Professional of the Year, and in 2005 was inducted into the PGA of America Hall of Fame joining his father Claude Harmon, who was also a member of the PGA Hall of Fame.

​

Craig also mentored and tutored Jeff Sluman for the last forty years including his 1988 PGA Championship victory.

Dick Harmon

Dick Harmon was the professional at the River Oaks Country Club between 1977 and 2001. After leaving that position, he established two teaching centres in Houston, Texas.

​

Among his players were the likes of Freddy Couples, Lucas Glover, Craig Stadler, Lanny Wadkins.

​

Harmon passed away from complications due to pneumonia on February 10, 2006.

Butch Harmon

 For many years Butch Harmon is best known for having coached the likes of major champions, Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Stewart Cink, Gary Woodland ,and Jimmy Walker.

 

Before retiring from the tour in 2019, he coached and was instrumental in the games of Rickie Fowler, Fred Couples ,and Nick Watney.

​

Butch was a former tour player, who won the BC Open in Binghamton, NY. He is presently running the Butch Harmon Golf School in Las Vegas.

 

He was a leading analyst for Sky Sports Golf and has been ranked the #1 teacher by Golf Digest for 20+ years.
